Doula
Thank you so much for your interest in our company and our fine staff of Birth & Postpartum Doulas! By way of introduction, please allow Mother’s Care to share a bit about the Doula care provider you are considering to assist you and your new baby during your postpartum period.
Originally from Haiti, Rose brings a beautiful blend of clinical experience and heartfelt support to every family she serves. With more than 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and a master’s degree in Nursing Informatics, she offers both professional expertise and compassionate presence to the birthing space.
Rose’s journey into doula work began after becoming a first-time mother herself. Experiencing birth from the patient’s perspective opened her eyes to how transformative and sacred the experience truly is. She recognized that birth is more than a medical event. It is a life-changing moment that deserves continuous emotional and physical support. From that realization, she felt called to become the steady, reassuring presence every birthing mother deserves.
In 2025, Rose successfully completed her DONA International Birth Doula Training and earned her certification as a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International. Her professional nursing background, combined with her formal doula training, allows her to provide confident, evidence-based support while also protecting the emotional and spiritual space of birth.
Rose believes birth is a powerful process and that women were designed for it. She feels strongly that the more informed and prepared a mother is, the more confident and empowered she becomes. Her role is to protect each family’s unique birthing space, offer unbiased support, and provide intentional education so clients can make decisions that align with their values and preferences. She supports the whole family without judgment and encourages partners to be actively involved every step of the way.
During labor, Rose utilizes comfort tools such as labor combs, a TENS unit, rebozo techniques, aromatherapy, and positioning support. She brings her own tools and adapts her care to meet the needs of each individual client. Her presence is calm, attentive, and steady, especially during intense moments.
Rose describes her approach as compassionate, empowering, and gentle. She encourages mothers to trust their bodies and instincts, reminding them that each contraction brings them closer to meeting their baby. She joins families in active labor and provides flexible, responsive support according to their preferences and needs.
Outside of birth work, Rose enjoys dancing, working out, spending time with her family, and exploring arts and crafts. She is also a proud dog person.
We are honored to have Rose as part of the Mother’s Care team and look forward to the steady, peaceful presence she brings to the families we serve.
